Terms of Use
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 18 and able to enter a binding agreement. If acting for an organization, you confirm that you are authorized to bind it.
2. Platform Role
Global Glass Connect facilitates business discovery, matching, introductions, messages, meetings, proposals, and related industry services. Unless agreed in writing, we are not a party to user transactions and are not a buyer, seller, broker, employer, customs agent, legal adviser, or payment guarantor.
3. Accounts and Roles
You must provide accurate information, use an email you control, protect credentials, and update your profile. Features depend on role, status, verification, membership, permissions, and availability. Registration does not guarantee verification, matching, business results, contact access, or acceptance into a paid plan.
4. Acceptable Use and Content Rules
You must not submit unlawful, false, misleading, fraudulent, defamatory, infringing, or discriminatory content; impersonate others; scrape, harvest, export, or resell user data; bypass security, permissions, or role restrictions; send spam, malware, or deceptive offers; upload information without authority; interfere with the platform; or use contact information contrary to privacy and marketing laws.
You retain ownership of submitted content and grant us a non-exclusive worldwide licence to host, format, display, and transmit it as needed to operate and promote your chosen participation. You confirm that you have all necessary rights.
5. Permission-Controlled Contact
Identity and direct contact access may require registration, verification, matching, consent, or acceptance. You must respect rejection, withdrawal, confidentiality, and communication preferences. The platform does not authorize indiscriminate solicitation.
6. Verification and User Dealings
Verification reduces risk but does not guarantee identity, authority, solvency, quality, legality, safety, availability, or performance. Users remain responsible for due diligence, contracts, compliance, insurance, taxes, licences, shipping, secure payment, and professional advice.
7. Plans and Payments
Paid features may be governed by prices, billing periods, taxes, credits, renewals, cancellation terms, and order terms shown before purchase. Future pricing may change prospectively. Unless stated otherwise or required by law, earned or consumed fees are non-refundable. Payment providers may apply separate terms.
8. Third Parties and Events
External websites, payment providers, events, livestreams, logistics, and other third-party services may have separate terms. Schedules, speakers, venues, availability, and features may change. We are not responsible for third-party services or statements.
9. Intellectual Property
Our software, design, branding, databases, and original content are owned by or licensed to us. No rights are transferred except the limited right to use the platform under these Terms.
10. Availability and Termination
The platform may contain beta or evolving features. We may modify, restrict, suspend, or discontinue features and may suspend accounts to protect users, comply with law, address non-payment, investigate risk, or enforce these Terms.
11. Disclaimers
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the platform is provided “as is” and “as available,” without warranties of merchantability, fitness, accuracy, results, non-infringement, or uninterrupted operation. Non-excludable legal rights remain unaffected.
12. Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, we are not liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, lost profits, data, opportunities, reputation, or user disputes. Aggregate liability will not exceed the greater of CAD $100 and fees paid for the relevant service during the preceding 12 months, except where prohibited by law.
13. Indemnity
To the extent permitted by law, you will indemnify us for claims and reasonable costs arising from your unlawful use, content, transactions, breach, or infringement of another person’s rights.
14. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by Ontario law and applicable federal Canadian law. Subject to rights that cannot be waived, disputes will be submitted to courts in Ontario, Canada.
15. General, Changes, and Contact
If one provision is unenforceable, the remainder continues. Failure to enforce is not a waiver. We may update these Terms by posting a new effective date and additional notice when appropriate. Contact: info@globalglassindustry.com.
